Nick Brandau

Woodworking Teacher

Nick is a Kansas native, being born in Salina and then moving about central and eastern Kansas. After high school graduation, Nick moved around the country, but always thought of Kansas as home.

Nick returned to Kansas in 2021 after starting a family with his wife Katie and having two daughters, Anna and Frankie. Prior to moving Nick worked in residential construction and then taught Woodworking, Welding, and History at the high school in Durango, CO. The family wanted to raise their girls on a Kansas farm and to continue to work in construction.

Nick enjoys sharing his passion for working and his love for the miracle of trees while teaching students how to work with wood and tools. Nick is joyed to be apart of Prairie Moon Waldorf School, as he thinks it is a gem on the prairie and to be around the enthusiasm and curiosity of the youth that attend the school.
