Saturday Workshop Series -- Curriculum Curiosity
The PMWS Faculty has created a year long workshop series and encourages parents to participate. Every event will be a dive into the Waldorf curriculum for adults, nurturing the soul and educating the heart and mind. We believe this education is invaluable and encourage everyone to join us for at least one of these opportunities. Scholarships available upon request. Visit Gwyn in the office.
WORKSHOP 1: A Waldorf Journey: Seeing the child through new eyes, educating with a living impulse.
Themes: Basis of the Waldorf School - Self-Development - Anthroposophical view of the human being - Seven-year cycles
The Anthroposophical view of the human being calls the teacher to look within, to develop the self and then to help the child come into the world. We will look at Rudolf Steiner’s recommendations for self-development, at the unfolding of the child over the course of the first 21 years and at the role of the teacher and of education in that unfolding. Lectures will be alternated with the “lively arts” to bring these ideas into the teacher’s and parent’s hands, hearts and heads.
Workshop: $100 (Enrolled Families: $50) Lunch: $20
