“Drawing A Circle To Bring The Children In”

Working With Behavioral And Academic Challenges

An informational and practical workshop including games, drawings, paintings to use right away in the classroom.

What if we stopped trying to “fix” our children’s problems?
What if instead we looked at our children as mysteries to solve - with reverent, non-judgmental love and attention?
What if instead we asked how we can support healthy development, at home and at school? Can we find the secret super-powers hidden within the challenges children face today?

Participants will enter into games and artistic experiences that will reveal new ways to observe, understand, and address what our children’s behaviors are revealing to us. We will look at causes/triggers/hindrances/solutions in classroom relationships/management, the physical environment, rhythms and habits, and essential sensorimotor foundations from the point of view of overall child development both at home and at school. All with the aim of engaging the children in the curriculum, in life, in the world, in ways that meet their body, soul, and spirit.
